Nintendo isn’t a stranger to publishing video games with morbid undertones. Two of the more obvious examples are The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and Metroid Fusion. Both games contain elements of impending doom and hopelessness, and infamous moments have stuck with players years after their release dates. In light of Metroid Dread and Breath of the Wild 2’s presentation at Nintendo’s 2021 E3 showcase, Nintendo may be drawing inspiration from that era of darker games....

Co-developed once again by Spanish developer MercurySteam, Metroid Dread stunned long-time fans of the series with its reveal during this week’s Nintendo Direct, however, the major reason behind this surprise comes down to one big thing: its title. Many have pointed to how Metroid Dread is a revival of the canceled Nintendo DS 2D Metroid game in development from 2005 - 2008. What many don’t know, is that this revival of Metroid Dread bears a striking resemblance to the development of Metroid: Samus Returns....

The original Metroid Prime trilogy was a big deviation for the franchise. The most obvious change was the fact that it took a 3D first-person shooter perspective rather than a 2D platformer approach, but the narrative of Prime also went in an unexpected direction. After three mainline entries, the Prime trilogy came in and told a completely separate story set between the first and second Metroid games. It was an interesting jump for the canon, and it brings into question what approach Metroid Prime 4 might take....

The policy was originally paused when President Joe Biden took office. It requires asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their cases are reviewed. Kojima, a regular user of micro-blogging service, Twitter, last night revealed that the Japanese version of Peace Walker has had to have a scene removed in order to keep it from receiving the equivalent of an M rating in the country. He went on to explain that the PSP is supported by a younger audience, so the staff at Kojima Productions made every effort to avoid grotesque scenes. However, there was “a certain scene,” a “standard element that’s “absolutely necessary for MGS,” that apparently could not make it under the desired rating, and had to be cut....

The Dolphins enter this game undefeated. There were high hopes for Tua Tagovailoa entering this season, but he has exceeded everyone’s wildest dreams. Through three weeks of play, he has thrown for 925 yards, eight touchdowns, and just two interceptions. However, he’s been having back and ankle problems this week that may hinder him here. Bisping, a former UFC middleweight champion regularly comments on the MMA world on his Believe You Me podcast. During a recent edition of the podcast, Bisping and his co-host played matchmaker for the UFC’s lightweight division. Bisping believes that, in a perfect world, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz III is the fight that makes sense. The Count also believes McGregor will end up winning the third fight between the two rivals....

Recent training footage of Hemsworth hitting pads gained significant traction on social media. Logan Paul issued a callout saying he would fight him after he fights Floyd Mayweather. However, Bisping, who initially mistook Logan for Jake, believed the actor would beat him up. Would Chris Hemsworth ever box? It seems unlikely Chris Hemsworth would box either Logan or Jake Paul.
