Thanks to the apparent commonality of Samus’ power armor in Chozo culture, there are plenty of alternate beams and beam upgrades all across the galaxy, which is quite useful when the previous ones end up destroyed. Samus is a walking armory at the height of her power in each Metroid game, and many different beams have passed in and out of Samus’ hands. The latter of these titles, Metroid Dread, seems to be Nintendo’s major focus this holiday season after a very long hiatus from the franchise. However, Metroid Dread being the first 2D game in the series in nearly twenty years seems to be generating a lot more hype than its 3D counterpart....
